How private garages, co-ownership, guest invites, and job garages work.

Private Garages
Purchasing
Walk up to a garage seller NPC or a garage entry point. The garage browser opens showing available garages as cards with name, price, and slot count. Select a garage and confirm the purchase.
Entering
Walk or drive to the garage entry marker. Press E to enter. If you are in a vehicle, the vehicle is stored automatically. If the garage is full and you drive in, the replace menu opens.
Storing Vehicles
Drive your vehicle into the garage entry marker. The vehicle is stored in the first available slot. Your vehicle data (mods, fuel, damage) is saved.
Taking Vehicles
Inside the garage, walk up to any of your vehicles and press E to drive it out. You appear at the main exit point with your vehicle.
Replacing Vehicles
When you drive into a full garage, the replace menu opens. An orbit camera shows each vehicle in your garage. Use:
- A / D - cycle through vehicles
- Hold RMB - rotate the camera around the vehicle
- ESC - cancel
Select a vehicle to swap it with the one you drove in. The replaced vehicle goes into the world and the incoming vehicle takes its slot.
Selling
Inside your garage, walk to the manage marker and open the sell option. You receive a percentage of the original price (configured by defaultSalePercentage, default 20%).
Danger: The garage must be empty to sell. Remove all vehicles first. This action cannot be undone.
Co-Ownership
Adding Co-Owners
- Inside your garage, walk to the manage marker
- Open Co-Owners
- Click Add Co-Owner - shows players currently inside the garage
- Select a player to add them
Note: The player must be inside your garage instance to be added as a co-owner. Invite them as a guest first.

Co-owner guest invites are controlled by coOwnership.allowCoOwnerInvites in config (default: false).
Removing Co-Owners
Open the manage marker, go to Co-Owners, and click Remove next to the player.
Garage Selection
When you own and co-own garages at the same location, a selection popup appears when entering. It shows:
- Which garage is yours vs. which you co-own
- The owner's name and online status
- Validates your vehicle is allowed before entry
Max Co-Owners
Configurable via coOwnership.maxCoOwners (default: 5).
Guest Invites
Sending an Invite
- Inside your garage, open the manage marker
- Select Invite a Friend
- Choose from nearby players in the invite zone
The target player sees an invite popup with accept/decline buttons and a 2-minute countdown.
Guest Behavior
- Guests can view vehicles inside the garage
- Guests have limited interaction permissions
- Guests are kicked when the owner leaves (co-owners leaving does not affect guests)
- Co-owners stay inside when the owner leaves
Job Garages
Job garages are shared among all employees of a specific job.
- Created in the builder with Job Garage enabled and a Job Name set
- No purchase needed - access is based on the player's job
- All employees share the same interior instance and see the same vehicles
- Vehicle ownership rules control what can be stored (see Vehicle Access Rules)
- Friendly fire can be toggled per garage
